Gray

We do not live in a perfect world
Everything is twisted and curled
Vivid contrasts between light and dark
Everything is so cold and stark

We are lost between shades of gray
Stuck between night and the light of day
We live with indecision thinking, “Come what may.”
And as we wait, we let the gray settle and stay

All desire and hope is obliterated and lost
As our ambitious paths are sadly uncrossed
Inaction has put our lives in the path of mediocrity
We lacked the courage and stuck with simplicity

We are lost between shades of gray
Stuck between night and the light of day
We live with indecision thinking, “Come what may.”
And as we wait, we let the gray settle and stay

Be done with gray, take a stance
Don’t regret life and take a chance
The entirety of life is a choice
Don’t live life without a voice

Regret

You were too late
And so this is your fate
All that’s left is anger and pain
Everyday still ends in rain
He doesn’t care
You were just a spare

But he meant more to you then that
Maybe you were nothing more than a doormat
Something goes wrong
And then you know your friendship doesn’t belong
It’s buried beneath the bitterness and lies
Then you realize everything dies
You trusted him
You let him in

But he doesn’t care if you live or die
As every moment passes, you wonder why
It seems your friendship was just a game
Valued at how much you could entertain
Oh how you would love for him to end
Then you remember he was your best friend

Fallacy

Hope doesn’t exist
Hope is a delusional twist

You think you’ll win the fight
But in the end you face nothing but spite

Everything you know is a lie
There’s nothing to do but die

Why do we keep living?
If there’s no end worth receiving?

Why do we feel the pain?
If there’s no end to this torrent of rain?

Doubt

Sometimes I wish the pain away,
Sometimes I would like for it to stay

My heart fights but breaks
and all around me my body aches

Can I ever truly win?
Or will I forever be taken on this spin?

Who am I supposed to be?
Because I know
No one can set me free
They just watch the show
As I look for the key.

Poems

Above are some poems a wrote in darker hours of my life. A lot of these poems aren't my philosophy. It's just touching on emotions that I think everyone feels every now and again. They aren't the moments that make up our life. But they are moments that influence who we are. We become better people by overcoming the darker parts of ourselves. We all have darkness inside us but eventually we don't have to.

Wow... talk about procrastination.

I've had a blog for who knows how long... and for some reason I've never put anything up on it until today. *sighs* oh well. Maybe I'll get this whole thing figured out eventually right? ;) I know I'm a teenager and supposed to be technologically savvy, but not with this. So if anyone has suggestions please tell me how to do it ;)
Oh!! Feeling slightly depressed? I'm going to post some poems I've written. It will make you feel worse. Tee hee.
